Turn Everyday Food Scraps into Useful Worm Castings
Create a convenient home vermicomposting system with this 3-tray worm composter. Its stackable vertical design provides a total capacity of 43.5 liters / 11.5 gallons, while occupying a compact 14″ × 14″ footprint. The fully assembled unit measures approximately 18.6 inches high, making it suitable for garages, basements, covered balconies, porches and other small spaces.
Begin with one working tray filled with prepared bedding and composting worms. Add small amounts of fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds, crushed eggshells, shredded paper and cardboard. As the first tray fills, place another prepared tray above it. The perforated tray bases allow airflow, drainage and gradual worm movement toward fresh food.
Once the material in the lower tray has fully processed, remove the tray and collect the finished worm castings without emptying the entire composter. The three removable working trays make it easier to feed, rotate and harvest material at different stages.
The bottom reservoir collects excess moisture, while the built-in spigot allows convenient drainage without lifting or tipping the unit. Four raised legs provide stable support and leave enough clearance underneath for the included collection tray.
A compressed coco coir brick, gardening gloves with digging claws, hand cultivator, 3-in-1 soil meter, 250 mL measuring cup and cleaning scraper are included to help simplify setup and routine maintenance.
